Mission Statement

Rapid City Youth Soccer League, Inc. is organized for the following:

1. The development, promotion and administration of the game of soccer among players under nineteen (19) years of age within the general area of Rapid City, South Dakota.
2. The objective shall be to provide fair and sportsmanlike opportunities for recreational competition, and, in doing so, to act in all matters to protect the interest of the players.

President Bio

Cassandra Messmer – I am the proud mom of 3 RCYSL soccer players. My husband coaches 2 of these teams so we are soccer most of the time. I am honored to have been a volunteer on this board for the past five years.  When I am not at soccer games or at soccer meetings, I am running my boys around or helping out school!

Chris Derry - I have played this great sport since I was 4 and have now transitioned into the coaching ranks as of 13 years ago.  I have coached for CASA, Oahe FC, Pierre H.S., SD United™, ODP and was a member of the State Coaching Staff.  My philosophy is simple, we will have fun while working hard and learning this great sport!  I am married to my lovely wife Jenny we have 3 kids, Austin (21), Brittney (16) and Rylan (6).
